Elene is a pianist, harpsichordist, fortepianist, and historical performance scholar from Tbilisi, the country of Georgia. Ms. Tabagari started studying piano at the age of 7, as a recipient of the Mayor’s “scholarship for the talented youth of Tbilisi” for the next 11 years. She continued her studies with Dr. Sean Kennard at Stetson University, where she won multiple competitions, including the university’s annual concerto competition, and was awarded best Junior Recital by the faculty.
She recently received a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School in New York City, and has joined the community of keyboard players and educators of the tri-state area. Elene has taught piano to students of Stetson University’s Community School of Music, as well as instructed private students of all ages and levels, including virtual lectures and tutoring sessions in music theory, ear-training, and sight-singing for the last 6 years in both English and Georgian languages.
She has a passion for teaching as well as having an active and exciting performing career. Elene advocates for proper technique and avoiding piano-related injuries, historical performance practice, diverse methodologies, and improvisation. She believes in promoting the importance of chamber music and supportive musical communities.

Hello my name is Shay!
I teach voice and piano. My goal as a teacher is to not only help you feel confident in your singing ability, but to find and explore your inner voice. But above all, have fun! As I belive music is something that transcends words, teaching and being able to share it with others is a truly beautiful thing.
I am trained and experienced in several different styles, from classical, musical theater, rock, R&B, pop, folk, and more. We will also learn intro to piano to help practice scales, tempo, arrangement, and tone at home.

Hello! My name is Trey and I have been passionate about music since I was, well, your age! I have now sung professionally all over the world including a principal role at the Metropolitan Opera!
Teaching is my passion now, as I want to share all the things that I've learned with students so that music may continue to grow and thrive. In our lessons, you can expect to work on breath control/exercises, tone matching, language coaching, and so much more.
I am happy to teach any student at any level and we can start from where you're comfortable. I have taught singers in almost every style including Classical, Musical Theatre (Both Traditional and Mix/Belt), Jazz, Modern Pop, Classic Rock, and Opera! Véronique
Ms. Shaftel is a violin, voice, and beginner piano instructor. With a Master's degree in Music Education and over 10+ years of experience, Ms. Shaftel prides herself on her student-centered and collaborative approach to teaching. Examples include helping an 11th-grade voice student who had just joined choir for the first time to put on her own senior recital, supporting a 4th-grade student in her quest to write an entire album of songs, and teaching an adult student with no music background to surprise her husband by learning a few songs to play with his band. Ms. Shaftel loves working with students of all ages to build confidence, well-rounded musical skills, achieve their goals, and most of all, develop a deep appreciation and enjoyment of music of all kinds.

Simon N.
A South Korean Bass-Baritone, Simon is currently in his third year of DMA at UNCG. Mr. Nam completed his Masters of Music from Mannes School of Music and also earned his bachelor's degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Mr. Nam has performed in numerous operas both in the United States and Europe. Some former operatic roles include Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Betto in Gianni Schicchi, Colline in La Bohème and many more. Most recently, Mr. Nam made his debut with the Greensboro Opera in the production of The Gift of the Magi.
As a voice teacher, Mr. Nam focuses on the harmonious relationship between healthy vocal technique and individualistic artistry; he strongly believes that one cannot exist without the other and it is crucial to work on both simultaneously. He also believes that a student can work on their instrument most efficiently when they feel comfortable and safe in their lessons. Mr. Nam has been teaching voice for many years and some of his past students have been accepted into Oberlin Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Mannes School of Music and more.

William
Will possesses an irrepressible passion for discovering, creating and sharing the joy of musical expression through piano. Having demonstrated an insatiable harmonic curiosity at the age of 6, he began studying with the internationally recognized author and teacher Nancy Bachus. He was immersed in the importance of correct technique, posture and dynamic sensitivity in his classical training. Participating in years of competition, his skill was recognized by the piano community as an aficionado. With his musical ear, and ability to read music as his “ language”, he demonstrated a skill level far beyond his years. He developed a passion for traditional and modern jazz through his teen years while maintaining expert command over his roots in classical performance, performing regionally with his family band since the age of 9.
Will continued his classical and jazz training at Kent State University under Steinway Artist Dr. Andrew Le, performing solo as well as collaboratively for doctoral candidates. In 2022, he won the Kent State University Concerto Competition and performed the Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor with the Kent State Orchestra.
Students studying with Will are enthusiastic and committed as he is sensitive to the desires and strength of his pupils while infusing the importance of theory, posture, practice schedules, and passion. Will’s students are encouraged to choose their personal genre while promoting the importance of piano fundamentals.

Manuela
Manuela is a pianist and a music educator. She was born in 1997 in NYC, but was raised in the Dominican Republic. She started playing classical piano at the age of 13 years old. As a teenager she won a scholarship at the best music school in the Dominican Republic"Estudio Dina" and years later took piano lessons at the conservatory of music in Santo Domingo with renowned pianists like Maria Morel-Pierret. Her music mentor for several years was a famous Dominican violinist and conductor Caonex Peguero Camilo. Years later Manuela moved back to New York to accomplish her dream to become a professional pianist and a music conductor. She mastered her piano skills with renowned pianists like Amber Hsuan Liao and Barbara Podgurski. In 2020 she won a summer scholarship to study conducting with Miguel Harth-Bedoya, a famous Peruvian conductor and later on took conducting lessons with the music director and conductor Scott Jackson Wiley. Manuela is currently pursuing a degree in music studies and music education at the Borough of Manhattan community college, She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Gabriel R.
Gabriel embarked on his musical journey in Ponce, Puerto Rico, attending a specialized music school under the tutelage of the esteemed Mrs. Marines Aviles, former principal of the Centenario Banda Municipal. His early education laid the groundwork for a flourishing career that has seen him perform on prestigious stages and at notable events worldwide.
Gabriel has held the role of principal flutist in the Orlando Contemporary Chamber Orchestra and currently serves as the principal flutist of the Army Concert Band in New York City. His musical achievements include performing with the New York City Mob Orchestra in Washington, D.C., and giving a solo concert at the Broadway Anita Way Concert Hall in Times Square, NYC. He has also performed in the FYO Miami tour (2021), the New York Flute Club, the James Galway Flute Choir, and as part of the grand finale at the National Flute Association's Closing Gala (2018).
A highly sought-after educator, Gabriel teaches flute from beginner to expert level and piano for beginners. He welcomes students of all ages and is certified by New York State to teach young children, ensuring a supportive, engaging, and effective learning experience for even the youngest of students.
Gabriel’s dedication has earned him invitations to prestigious camps, masterclasses, and competitions such as the Galway Festival, Inter Harmony in Italy, Creating Resonance, and the Puerto Rico Flute Symposium. His educational background includes time at esteemed institutions like the Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico, the University of Central Florida, and the Purchase College Music Conservatory.
Throughout his career, Gabriel has studied with some of the finest flutists in the world, including Dr. Tara Helen O’Connor (flutist of Lincoln Center), Mr. Robert Langevin (former principal flutist of the New York Philharmonic), Dr. Nora Lee Garcia (principal flutist of the Bach Orlando Orchestra), and Josue Casilla (principal flutist of the Puerto Rico Orchestra). He has also been recognized by world-renowned artists such as Sir James Galway, Jeanne Galway, Carol Wincenc, and many more.

Alexander
Alexander started his musical journey at 8 years old when he began singing in church in his home state of New Mexico. From those beginnings Alexander pursued music wholeheartedly through his childhood. He sang in many children's and adult choirs throughout middle school which led him to participate in his school's jazz program, sparking his love for the piano and saxophone. In his high school years Alexander was educated at renowned institutions such as the Berklee College of Music, where he studied at a pre-college summer program, and the Santa Fe Opera, which accepted Alexander into a highly competitive program where he was trained in operatic vocal techniques throughout his highschool career. Using these skills, Alexander took to songwriting and playing guitar with local bands as well as being an active participant in his high school's theater program as a pit musician, actor, and student music director. At the age of 20, Alexander has recently moved to New York City in order to pursue his career in music. He now works as a music educator who teaches in a variety of disciplines and styles including jazz, theater, pop, rock, and many more! Alexander has a deep passion for all things musical and loves to share that joy with others!

Andrew
Andrew began playing piano at age 7 and quickly found a lifelong love of music. He played alto saxophone, guitar and drums in middle school before settling on piano as a main instrument after discovering jazz pianists Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson while in high school. While majoring in jazz studies at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio Andrew had the opportunity to play piano professionally in jazz groups as well as in churches, at weddings and with Ohio’s premier salsa group, The Noe Salsa Project. After stints performing and teaching in Austin, Texas and Richmond, Virginia, Andrew settled in NYC to focus on composing and playing jazz piano. In 2021 he published a book of transcribed and analyzed piano solos by legendary jazz pianist David Kikoski. Andrew currently lives in Harlem where he performs regularly in various jazz groups and enjoys sharing his love of music with students as a piano teacher.

Annie
Annie began her musical journey as a young student with piano lessons, choir, and eventually learning trumpet and french horn. At age 16 she began classical voice lessons, which bloomed into a love for opera.
Annie earned her Bachelor's of Music, and Master's of Music in vocal performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and has performed with prestigious American opera companies since completing her training and has settled in New York City.
As a voice teacher, Annie specializes in bringing classical music training and ear training into any genre (pop, musical theatre, folk, classical, opera etc.) to create a life-long technique for health singing. Students interested in classical training can also learn basic language skills for singing in Latin, Italian, French and German. As a piano teacher, Annie loves working with little ones and beginners of all ages who love music in a fun and supportive encironment.

Cara
Cara started playing violin when she was five years old. In middle school, she joined the Manhattan Chamber ensemble. There, she played tango music with the esteemed Devrie Lewis, Emmanuel Triffilio, and Latin Grammy-winning bassist, Pedro Giraudo. Throughout high school, she was Principal second-violin in the Siwanoy Sinfonietta and Catalyst Youth Orchestra, and she played under Charles and Annbritt DuChateau, two current Broadway conductors.
In addition to violin, Cara is diverse in her musical accomplishments. She is a skilled pianist and guitarist, playing in acoustic bands throughout high school. She is an alto singer in the Immaculate Conception Adult Choir, and she had the honor of teaching ukulele in Kitwe, Zambia. Simultaneously, Cara attended the prestigious Manhattan School of Music Precollege program as a classical harp major; she was Principal in the Symphonic Orchestra, studied under Susan Jolles, and performed under the baton of Felipe Tristan and Tanatchaya Chanphanitpornkit. She was also a part of the New England Conservatory Summer Orchestra Institute and the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar. Furthermore, in 2024, she performed at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium with the New Jersey Youth Symphony, of which she is an active member. There, she played alongside Broadway legend and Tony Award winner, Norm Lewis, and under the baton of Helen Cha-Pyo.
Currently, Cara attends Fordham University, where she majors in music and sits as the principal harpist for her school’s Symphony Orchestra. She has taught music lessons for many years and is honored to share her passions through education.

Chiwen
Chiwen has been teaching piano to students ages 5-60 since she started her own family in Westchester 20 years ago. As a mother, Chiwen understands the importance of personalizing lessons around students’ learning styles and needs. With her extensive teaching experiences, Chiwen is able to quickly identify the best approach to implement in order to maximize students’ potential and the outcome of the lessons. Chiwen believes that her teaching goal should not be limited to only helping students build a solid foundation and master the techniques, but also to teach the students the joy of playing the piano. More importantly, she guides students to apply the skills learned from playing the piano to different perspectives of learning and life. Her love for teaching and music is infectious. Parents often tell her that students look forward to their weekly lessons. Her patient, encouraging, and soft-spoken demeanor lets her build a connection with students quickly and help her students gain the confidence in learning.

Colby
Colby has been teaching piano for over 15 years and has developed a studio of students that have achieved notable accomplishments: an acceptance into top music conservatories, several top prizes in piano competitions, successful completion of ABRSM and NYSSMA examinations, and of course, a lifelong love and passionate interest in music. In addition, he is a NYS certified music teacher with experience in curriculum development. Colby also teaches composition and theory, ear training, and vocal coaching, having worked with some of the most successful opera singers of this generation. Colby received his Bachelor's and Master's at the Manhattan School of Music.

Eun
Eun began her musical journey by learning piano at age 5 and starting vocal lessons at age 11. She received specialized music education in Korea, attending prestigious arts middle and high schools before continuing her studies at the university level. Her passion for music inspired her to pursue greater opportunities, leading her to earn a Master's degree in Vocal Performance while serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Afterward, she obtained a Professional Studies Diploma in Opera from the Mannes School of Music in New York. Eun has since become a beloved performer on various opera and concert stages. With over 20 years of musical training, she is driven by a deep desire to help anyone who loves music, from young children to adults. Eun continues to share not only musical skills but also the joy and meaning found in music with her students.

Evan
Evan Lytle is a guitarist and bass guitarist that began taking lessons when he was 8 years old in his hometown of Los Angeles, California.
Since beginning his musical training at age 8 he has played internationally with musical projects of various genres: he has played South By Southwest festival in Austin 3 times, he has toured in the U.K. and Europe twice, as well as playing all across the country and in Canada. He continued to study music privately throughout high school while consistently gigging in Southern California before auditioning and then enrolling at Cal Poly Pomona for two years of Classical and Jazz Guitar study. He then transferred to S.U.N.Y. Purchase where he would go on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar from the Conservatory of Music in 2023. He teaches guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, piano, and ukulele, for any level student young or old as long as they are at least 5 years of age.

Graciliano is a multi-talented musician whose passion for music blossomed at a young age. At the age of 10, he began his musical journey by learning to play the guitar, quickly developing a deep appreciation for the instrument's harmonic capabilities. Just a year later, Graci's curiosity led him to explore the rhythmic world of drums, igniting a lifelong love with rhythm.
Driven by his unwavering dedication, he pursued his musical education, ultimately graduating with a degree in music. His exceptional talent and versatility paved the way for collaborations with some of the most renowned musicians including the legendary Dom Salvador, with whom he had the honor of performing. For over 15 years, Graci has been sharing his vast knowledge and expertise as a drum instructor, guiding aspiring musicians on their own musical journeys. His passion for teaching is matched only by his commitment to nurturing the next generation of talented drummers, ensuring that the art of percussion continues to thrive and evolve.

Jada
Jada is a singer-songwriter, audio engineer, and musician based in New York City. She has over ten years of experience on bass and guitar and 8 years of experience studying classical voice. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing arts (2018) as a vocal major before moving on to receive a Bachelors of Music in Sound Recording Technology from Syracuse University (2022). Her experience entails many years of teaching guitar and over a decade of performance experience. Her teaching method involves getting the student comfortable on their instrument as soon as possible to start learning their favorite songs and achieving their musical goals with proper technique and proper motivation. Her aim is to foster and keep alive the student’s musical passion.

Mesha
Born into a family of prolific musicians, fashion designers and athletes, Mesha grew up surrounded by role models. Following the tragic loss of her mother at two years old, she was raised by her grandparents, founders of a premiere reggae band in her country of birth, Belize, featuring her uncles. Mesha's musical talent emerged early, harmonizing with the band's melodies by age four. The band’s move to the United States left a lasting impression, cementing Mesha's musical aspirations. She later formed a singing group with her two older sisters, achieving acclaim in Belize and opening for top international artists on her home stage.
Mesha is now an award-winning singer, songwriter, and band leader known for her captivating performances and musical versatility. With a career spanning over two decades, she has toured internationally, enchanting audiences with her soulful voice and masterful compositions. In addition to her successful music career, Mesha is a dedicated voice and piano instructor, nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians. Mesha’s commitment to giving back is evident in her regular visits to care home facilities, where she brings joy and comfort to the elderly and U.S. veterans through music. Her compassionate spirit and musical brilliance make Mesha a cherished figure both on and off the stage.

Mick
Mick is a NY based actor, musician, singer and teacher. Mick is excited to work with piano, voice, guitar, banjo, and theatre students covering a broad range of styles from classical to contemporary music. Mick enjoys working with students of all ages, keeping lessons fun, inspiring, and tailored towards each students’ interests and strengths. Mick is a recent graduate from NYU with a Master’s in Music in Performance as well as an advanced certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Having taught voice lessons for the many years, several of his students are now performing professionally or attending top programs throughout the country. Mick also has two bachelor’s degrees, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Western Michigan University. He has performed for regional theaters, parks and resorts throughout North America, notable roles include Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza, Tommy in Brigadoon, and Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro as well as playing banjo and guitar for shows like Bright Star, Shakespeare in Love and other various variety shows. During his studies, Mick attended the AIMS Opera studio program in Graz, Austria where he performed throughout the city. While not performing, Mick likes to spend his time rock climbing, hiking, or playing dungeons and dragons with his friends.

Molly
Molly started her music education when she was 5 years old. She won her first gold medal at the age of 6, and was a soloist with an orchestra at the age of 13. She has since then won many awards and performed with orchestras throughout the U.S. She graduated from top music schools in the U.S. and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. Her students have gone on to form their own string quartets, became concert masters of school orchestras, and have been accepted into Stamford, MIT and Harvard. She says there is no greater joy than to watch people grow, from playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to performing Vivaldi and Rachmaninoff.

Santiago
Santiago picked up the guitar at the age of 10. Since studying music from a young age he discovered a deep appreciation for all genres of music. Santiago is currently an online student at Berklee College Of Music where he is studying to be a well rounded musician with a focus on blues and jazz. Santiago is fascinated with music theory and loves learning and teaching theory. He has a warm and friendly personality and is happy to help others progress musically!

Shane
Shane's interest in music began when he was given his first Guitar at 4 years old. Shane was instantly inspired by the musicians he would see on TV or hear on the radio. An obsession with the guitar drove Shane to play for various rock and jazz ensembles in high school. After high school, Shane pursued a degree in performance at Hunter College. It was there that he was able to study Classical Guitar with Professor Overholt of Yale University. Shane also studied and participated in Jazz ensembles under Professor Ryan Keberle, a member of Grammy award winning group the Maria Schneider Orchestra.
Outside of school, Shane persisted in learning about Rock and metal music, and studied extensively under Terry Syrek, Author of “Shred is Not Dead” and session musician of the Trans Siberian Orchestra.
Shane's passion to learn the guitar and to seek mentors from various genres helped him understand the importance of “building a musical personality,” which is something he aims to teach to his students and help them build the best version of his students.

Tia
Tia has been training and performing in the arts both as a pianist and a vocalist since she was a child. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, she became a public school teacher for inner-city and under performing schools. Upon returning to NYC, she transitioned into the corporate sector as a global project manager before becoming a small business owner.
She brings her extensive classroom experience and her enhanced learning techniques, developed while attaining a Master of Science degree, to her student's music lessons, and tailors the lessons to the personality and the needs of beginning and intermediate piano and vocal students, ensuring foundational technique is developed while encouraging the joy of learning. She has a warm and eclectic personality, which has made her one of our most requested instructors by students and parents alike.

Wilfredo
Wilfredo was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba. When he was 4 years old, he began his approach to art and music under the guidance of Cuban singer-songwriter Rosa Campo. In 2002 he began his violin and piano studies at the School of Arts Benny More with Master Emilia Vondarenko, the subsequent year he was chosen to be part of the group Los Aragoncitos de Cienfuegos. He belonged to this group for 5 years and toured nationally and internationally performing traditional Cuban repertoire.
He has performed solo and chamber concerts in important concert halls in Bogotá and New York City such as Carnegie Hall, The Virgilio Barco Library, the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theater, Jamaica Performing Arts Center, Leon de Greiff Auditorium, Fabio Lozano Auditorium, Faenza Theater, Bellas Artes Theater. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies with Honors at the National University of Colombia with Master Liz Angela Garcia, he’s currently working on his first album recordings.
He has worked as Personal Violin teacher for many years. Detail-oriented and well-planned classes focused on evaluating student progression and adapting lessons plans to facilitate learning and growth, while focusing on getting a warm and comfortable environment for each student. He has worked with children aged 4-18 and adults as well. His philosophy is based on getting the student’s identity cultivated and enriched. He’s been working on research about how popular and traditional music affects musicians on a classical learning environment using basics techniques such as improvisation and playing by ear. His main goal as a teacher is to keep every single student motivated and focused on improvement and hard inspiring work.

A classical trained soprano, she's toured frequently with concert and opera in New York and globally, subsequently performing in musical theatre, most notable in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom Of The Opera" in the ensemble and the role of Carlotta. She performed throughout the US, Europe and Latin America with orchestras and festivals in opera, musical theatre and popular music, and recorded on various studio projects.
Wren holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Ioward and is an alumnus of the L'Accademia Vocale di Lucca, in Italy and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. Her teaching experience stems from her love of children and twenty years of teaching in both private and in public schools. She believes that every student possesses unique gifts and with positive training, can fulfill their greatest potential.
