Her musical journey began at age three, learning piano at home with her grandmother, and quickly grew into a lifelong love of the arts. From orchestra and show choir to musical theater, opera, and a cappella, Amie’s early experiences across performance styles shaped her deep appreciation for creativity, storytelling, and expression. She has lived and studied in artistic communities across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Texas, performing in dozens of productions and ensembles along the way.
Amie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of North Texas College of Music, where she studied classical voice, piano, organ, harpsichord, historical string instruments, music history, folk and non-Western music, and ethnomusicology. She also minored in Anthropology, adding a rich cultural perspective to her teaching and musicianship. During her time at UNT, she served as Head of the Student Council for the Musicology and Anthropology Department and thrived in a creative, collaborative environment.
With over ten years of professional teaching experience, Amie specializes in the Alexander Technique for voice, the Suzuki Method for cello, and a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to piano instruction. Her lessons combine strong fundamentals with curiosity, creativity, and joy.

Zoe is the kind of teacher other music teachers admire. A professional actress and singer, she has performed around the world—from Chicago to New York City to Rio de Janeiro—bringing global experience and real-world artistry straight into the lesson room.
A Fulbright Arts Scholar and graduate of Northwestern University’s musical theatre program, Zoe blends high-level training with creativity, warmth, and humor. Her work as an educator has been recognized by organizations such as the American Alliance for Theatre and Education, the U.S. Consulate in Brazil, and the Inclusive Theatre Festival.
With a background in neuroscience, Zoe brings a unique understanding of how students learn, helping lessons feel both engaging and effective. Anthony is a passionate guitarist and bass guitarist who loves sharing the joy and power of music with his students. He holds an Associate’s degree in Jazz and Pop Music and is currently pursuing both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Studies at The City College of New York.
With a strong background in performance and years of teaching experience, Anthony brings real-world musicianship into every lesson. While jazz is his primary focus, he teaches a wide range of genres, helping students explore the styles they love while building strong technique, musical understanding, and confidence.
Anthony believes music is more than just notes on a page—it’s an outlet, a form of expression, and a powerful way to connect with the world. His teaching philosophy centers on showing students that learning music can be joyful, meaningful, and deeply rewarding, whether they’re playing purely for fun or preparing for a professional path.

Marielle began playing piano at just four years old, and her love for music has only grown stronger over the years. In addition to piano, she also plays violin and is a professionally trained vocalist, giving her a well-rounded musical background that enriches her teaching.

Soyoung

Korean violinist So Young has been actively performed various genres of music in New York City since 2014. In 2017, she was selected as one of rising Korean musicians based in New York City by the Korean government to perform at concerts in Alaska and was invited back for the following year.
So Young was also as the first violinist of the string ensemble at pianist Richard Clayderman's World Tour in 2018. She served as first violinist in Queensboro Symphony Orchestra and as Union City Philharmonic Orchestra. She currently serves as first violinist in Regina Opera company and Mimesis ensemble.
Committed to making the world a better place through music, So Young’s work often takes her beyond the concert stage and into the community. She appears at free concerts to deliver quality music experience throughout New York City.
So Young began playing violin at the age of four. Her passion for music encouraged her to pursue music education in the U.S. since 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s degree in violin performance from Mannes School of Music.

Alexander

Alexander started his musical journey at 8 years old when he began singing in church in his home state of New Mexico. From those beginnings Alexander pursued music wholeheartedly through his childhood. He sang in many children's and adult choirs throughout middle school which led him to participate in his school's jazz program, sparking his love for the piano and saxophone. In his high school years Alexander was educated at renowned institutions such as the Berklee College of Music, where he studied at a pre-college summer program, and the Santa Fe Opera, which accepted Alexander into a highly competitive program where he was trained in operatic vocal techniques throughout his highschool career. Using these skills, Alexander took to songwriting and playing guitar with local bands as well as being an active participant in his high school's theater program as a pit musician, actor, and student music director. At the age of 20, Alexander has recently moved to New York City in order to pursue his career in music. He now works as a music educator who teaches in a variety of disciplines and styles including jazz, theater, pop, rock, and many more! Alexander has a deep passion for all things musical and loves to share that joy with others!

Andrew

Andrew began playing piano at age 7 and quickly found a lifelong love of music. He played alto saxophone, guitar and drums in middle school before settling on piano as a main instrument after discovering jazz pianists Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson while in high school. While majoring in jazz studies at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio Andrew had the opportunity to play piano professionally in jazz groups as well as in churches, at weddings and with Ohio’s premier salsa group, The Noe Salsa Project. After stints performing and teaching in Austin, Texas and Richmond, Virginia, Andrew settled in NYC to focus on composing and playing jazz piano. In 2021 he published a book of transcribed and analyzed piano solos by legendary jazz pianist David Kikoski. Andrew currently lives in Harlem where he performs regularly in various jazz groups and enjoys sharing his love of music with students as a piano teacher.

Athena W.

Athena is a soprano, songwriter, pianist, and music technologist who prides in the importance of interdisciplinary practice and performance. She grew up in the theater performing at a very young age, then at 15 studied classical music at the Juilliard school’s college preparatory program until 2019 with a major in Vocal Performance studying under Lorraine Nubar. She is a graduate of the Oberlin conservatory of music (2024) as a Vocal Performance major and Interdisciplinary performance minor, where she studied with soprano Dr. Katherine Jolly and TIMARA director Tom Lopez. She also has 7+ years study in piano and studied with Anthony Weinstein at Oberlin conservatory in the classical repertoire. Her most recent performances were in Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten as Miss Wordsworth and Montiverdi’s L’orfeo both at Oberlin’s mainstage Opera productions.
Athena teaches classical, pop, and musical theater voice. Songwriting and music production. And pop/musical theater, and classical piano for beginners to intermediates.
In teaching, Athena personalizes each lesson plan for her students and their specific desires and goals. And most importantly, to have fun and express through beautiful music!

Brandon G.

Brandon is a passionate violist and dedicated music educator from Syracuse, NY. He holds a B.M. from The Boston Conservatory, an M.M. from SUNY Purchase, and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, where he trained with renowned violists Patricia McCarty, Ira Weller, and Karen Dreyfus. Brandon has performed in masterclasses with members of world-class ensembles including the Manhattan, Orion, Emerson, Tokyo, New Zealand, and Shanghai Quartets, and has been a fellow at prestigious festivals such as Meadowmount, Tuscia, and Eastern.
A highly experienced orchestral musician, Brandon has held positions with the Syracuse, Binghamton, DCINY Carnegie Hall, and Cayuga Chamber Orchestras, and has also performed with the South Florida, Northeastern PA, and Erie Philharmonics. His wide-ranging musical background allows him to bring both artistry and real-world performance insight into every lesson.
Brandon is committed to helping students build confidence, technique, and a genuine love of music. He creates a warm, encouraging learning environment where students can explore their potential, ask questions, and grow as both musicians and individuals. Whether a student is just starting out or preparing for advanced auditions, Brandon guides them with patience, enthusiasm, and a deep belief in their ability to succeed.

Cara

Cara started playing violin when she was five years old. In middle school, she joined the Manhattan Chamber ensemble. There, she played tango music with the esteemed Devrie Lewis, Emmanuel Triffilio, and Latin Grammy-winning bassist, Pedro Giraudo. Throughout high school, she was Principal second-violin in the Siwanoy Sinfonietta and Catalyst Youth Orchestra, and she played under Charles and Annbritt DuChateau, two current Broadway conductors.
In addition to violin, Cara is diverse in her musical accomplishments. She is a skilled pianist and guitarist, playing in acoustic bands throughout high school. She is an alto singer in the Immaculate Conception Adult Choir, and she had the honor of teaching ukulele in Kitwe, Zambia. Simultaneously, Cara attended the prestigious Manhattan School of Music Precollege program as a classical harp major; she was Principal in the Symphonic Orchestra, studied under Susan Jolles, and performed under the baton of Felipe Tristan and Tanatchaya Chanphanitpornkit. She was also a part of the New England Conservatory Summer Orchestra Institute and the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar. Furthermore, in 2024, she performed at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium with the New Jersey Youth Symphony, of which she is an active member. There, she played alongside Broadway legend and Tony Award winner, Norm Lewis, and under the baton of Helen Cha-Pyo.
Currently, Cara attends Fordham University, where she majors in music and sits as the principal harpist for her school’s Symphony Orchestra. She has taught music lessons for many years and is honored to share her passions through education.

Chidiebere

Meet Chidi – Accomplished Drummer, Composer, and Educator
Chidi is a drummer, composer, and educator based in New York City, with a passion for helping students grow as confident and versatile musicians. He currently teaches at Five Towns College and Long Island University, where he offers private lessons, leads student ensembles, and teaches courses in music business and performance.
Originally from Nigeria, Chidi holds a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from New York University, where he studied with acclaimed drummer Ari Hoenig, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Idaho State University. As a performer, he is an active presence in New York’s jazz and creative music scenes, with appearances at venues including Chris’ Jazz Café, Nublu, and more. He performs regularly with his own trio and as a member of the Digba Ogunbiyi Quartet.
Chidi’s experience spans jazz, Afrobeat, and experimental music, and he has recorded on numerous projects across these genres. He is proudly endorsed by Canopus Drums, Bosphorus Cymbals, and Salyers Percussion Drumsticks.
As a teacher, Chidi emphasizes building a strong rhythmic foundation, developing stylistic versatility, and cultivating musical sensitivity. His goal is to prepare students to succeed in any musical setting—whether on stage, in the studio, or beyond.

Chiwen

Chiwen has been teaching piano to students ages 5-60 since she started her own family in Westchester 20 years ago. As a mother, Chiwen understands the importance of personalizing lessons around students’ learning styles and needs. With her extensive teaching experiences, Chiwen is able to quickly identify the best approach to implement in order to maximize students’ potential and the outcome of the lessons. Chiwen believes that her teaching goal should not be limited to only helping students build a solid foundation and master the techniques, but also to teach the students the joy of playing the piano. More importantly, she guides students to apply the skills learned from playing the piano to different perspectives of learning and life. Her love for teaching and music is infectious. Parents often tell her that students look forward to their weekly lessons. Her patient, encouraging, and soft-spoken demeanor lets her build a connection with students quickly and help her students gain the confidence in learning.

Colby

Colby has been teaching piano for over 15 years and has developed a studio of students that have achieved notable accomplishments: an acceptance into top music conservatories, several top prizes in piano competitions, successful completion of ABRSM and NYSSMA examinations, and of course, a lifelong love and passionate interest in music. In addition, he is a NYS certified music teacher with experience in curriculum development. Colby also teaches composition and theory, ear training, and vocal coaching, having worked with some of the most successful opera singers of this generation. Colby received his Bachelor's and Master's at the Manhattan School of Music.

Cory is an educator, actor, and writer based in New York City. With training from Wesleyan University, LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts), and Pace University’s BFA Musical Theater Program, Cory brings a rich background in performance and vocal technique to every lesson. He has appeared on stages at Carnegie Hall, The United Nations General Assembly, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, and theaters across the country including People’s Bank Theater, Actor’s Company, and Musical Theater Factory. Graciliano is a multi-talented musician whose passion for music blossomed at a young age. Holley

Holley is a New York State Certified Music Teacher, PreK-12, with Masters Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education as well as a Lincoln Center Scholar. With over 25 years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher and in private instruction, Holley offers lessons in Recorder, Flute, Piano and Vocal Coaching to various ages and levels of musical learning and study.

Jada is a singer-songwriter, audio engineer, and musician based in New York City. She has over ten years of experience on bass and guitar and 8 years of experience studying classical voice. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing arts (2018) as a vocal major before moving on to receive a Bachelors of Music in Sound Recording Technology from Syracuse University (2022). Her experience entails many years of teaching guitar and over a decade of performance experience. Her teaching method involves getting the student comfortable on their instrument as soon as possible to start learning their favorite songs and achieving their musical goals with proper technique and proper motivation. Her aim is to foster and keep alive the student’s musical passion.

Meet Melissa – Acclaimed Soprano, Performer, and Voice Teacher
Melissa is a soprano celebrated for her musical sensitivity, vocal virtuosity, and engaging stage presence. She holds both her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied under the renowned Joan Caplan.
As a performer, Melissa has earned recognition from Opera News for her “beautiful upper extension” in her role as Najade in Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos at Merkin Hall. She has been featured as a soloist at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda and the Library of Congress, performing the National Anthem for a televised ceremony honoring the Tuskegee Airmen with the Congressional Gold Medal. Melissa has also appeared with One World Symphony, Opera Noire of New York, the Hudson Lyric Opera Company, and The Bronx Opera Company. Internationally, she has studied and performed in Italy with the Centro Studi Italiani Young Artist Program and trained with the Intermezzo Young Artist Program.
Her operatic and concert repertoire includes roles such as The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors and Despina in Cosi fan Tutte, among many others.
As a teacher with over 17 years of experience, Melissa is passionate about guiding students to find their authentic voice and grow in confidence. Mesha

Born into a family of prolific musicians, fashion designers and athletes, Mesha grew up surrounded by role models. Following the tragic loss of her mother at two years old, she was raised by her grandparents, founders of a premiere reggae band in her country of birth, Belize, featuring her uncles. Mesha's musical talent emerged early, harmonizing with the band's melodies by age four. The band’s move to the United States left a lasting impression, cementing Mesha's musical aspirations. She later formed a singing group with her two older sisters, achieving acclaim in Belize and opening for top international artists on her home stage.
Mesha is now an award-winning singer, songwriter, and band leader known for her captivating performances and musical versatility. With a career spanning over two decades, she has toured internationally, enchanting audiences with her soulful voice and masterful compositions. In addition to her successful music career, Mesha is a dedicated voice and piano instructor, nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians. Reykwaan A.

Reykwaan is a New York City–born operatic tenor and voice teacher who loves helping singers discover just how powerful, expressive, and unique their voices can be. He has been performing professionally since 2013 and teaching since 2020, bringing students a fun, knowledgeable, and encouraging approach rooted in real stage experience.
With a background that spans Opera, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and R&B, Reykwaan has performed with companies such as Marshall Opera, Teatro Nuovo, the Seagle Festival, and the Crane Opera Ensemble, and has been a finalist in multiple vocal competitions. He’s sung everything from classic operatic roles to characters like Sasha in Fiddler on the Roof and Augusto in Zazà, and he’s premiered new works alongside living composers. His versatility gives students the confidence to explore musical theater, pop, classical, R&B—or any style that inspires them.
Reykwaan’s teaching philosophy is simple: every voice has value, and every singer deserves a supportive space to grow. His lessons blend strong vocal technique with creativity, joy, and personal expression. Wren

Wren's unique versatility as a performer and a teacher gives her an optimum advantage in training students of all ages and levels in voice and piano. A classical trained soprano, she's toured frequently with concert and opera in New York and globally, subsequently performing in musical theatre, most notable in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom Of The Opera" in the ensemble and the role of Carlotta. She performed throughout the US, Europe and Latin America with orchestras and festivals in opera, musical theatre and popular music, and recorded on various studio projects.
Wren holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Ioward and is an alumnus of the L'Accademia Vocale di Lucca, in Italy and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. Her teaching experience stems from her love of children and twenty years of teaching in both private and in public schools. She believes that every student possesses unique gifts and with positive training, can fulfill their greatest potential.
