Amie A.

Amie is a warm, passionate, and versatile instructor who loves helping students of all ages discover their unique musical voice. Teaching piano, voice, and cello, she creates lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and inspiring—designed to keep students excited to practice, perform, and share their music with confidence.
Her musical journey began at age three, learning piano at home with her grandmother, and quickly grew into a lifelong love of the arts. From orchestra and show choir to musical theater, opera, and a cappella, Amie’s early experiences across performance styles shaped her deep appreciation for creativity, storytelling, and expression. She has lived and studied in artistic communities across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Texas, performing in dozens of productions and ensembles along the way.
Amie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of North Texas College of Music, where she studied classical voice, piano, organ, harpsichord, historical string instruments, music history, folk and non-Western music, and ethnomusicology. She also minored in Anthropology, adding a rich cultural perspective to her teaching and musicianship. During her time at UNT, she served as Head of the Student Council for the Musicology and Anthropology Department and thrived in a creative, collaborative environment.
With over ten years of professional teaching experience, Amie specializes in the Alexander Technique for voice, the Suzuki Method for cello, and a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to piano instruction. Her lessons combine strong fundamentals with curiosity, creativity, and joy.
Above all, Amie believes every student has incredible potential. She strives to create a supportive space where students feel confident exploring, growing, and finding their true sound—while developing a lifelong love of music.
