Reykwaan is a New York City–born operatic tenor and voice teacher who loves helping singers discover just how powerful, expressive, and unique their voices can be. He has been performing professionally since 2013 and teaching since 2020, bringing students a fun, knowledgeable, and encouraging approach rooted in real stage experience.
With a background that spans Opera, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and R&B, Reykwaan has performed with companies such as Marshall Opera, Teatro Nuovo, the Seagle Festival, and the Crane Opera Ensemble, and has been a finalist in multiple vocal competitions. He’s sung everything from classic operatic roles to characters like Sasha in Fiddler on the Roof and Augusto in Zazà, and he’s premiered new works alongside living composers. His versatility gives students the confidence to explore musical theater, pop, classical, R&B—or any style that inspires them.
Reykwaan’s teaching philosophy is simple: every voice has value, and every singer deserves a supportive space to grow. His lessons blend strong vocal technique with creativity, joy, and personal expression. Students learn in an atmosphere that feels safe, structured, and uplifting—where they can take risks, try new things, and build confidence both as singers and as people.
A graduate of the Crane School of Music, Reykwaan continues to train with world-class teachers and coaches. He also has a movement background in ballet, modern dance, step, and the Alexander Technique, helping students connect their voice with confidence, presence, and storytelling onstage.
Most of all, Reykwaan believes that every student has something special to share. He loves helping singers of all ages unlock their abilities, embrace their individuality, and shine—both in the studio and out in the world.
