Brandon G.

Brandon is a passionate violist and dedicated music educator from Syracuse, NY. He holds a B.M. from The Boston Conservatory, an M.M. from SUNY Purchase, and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, where he trained with renowned violists Patricia McCarty, Ira Weller, and Karen Dreyfus. Brandon has performed in masterclasses with members of world-class ensembles including the Manhattan, Orion, Emerson, Tokyo, New Zealand, and Shanghai Quartets, and has been a fellow at prestigious festivals such as Meadowmount, Tuscia, and Eastern.
A highly experienced orchestral musician, Brandon has held positions with the Syracuse, Binghamton, DCINY Carnegie Hall, and Cayuga Chamber Orchestras, and has also performed with the South Florida, Northeastern PA, and Erie Philharmonics. His wide-ranging musical background allows him to bring both artistry and real-world performance insight into every lesson.
Brandon is committed to helping students build confidence, technique, and a genuine love of music. He creates a warm, encouraging learning environment where students can explore their potential, ask questions, and grow as both musicians and individuals. Whether a student is just starting out or preparing for advanced auditions, Brandon guides them with patience, enthusiasm, and a deep belief in their ability to succeed.
When he’s not teaching or performing, Brandon enjoys film, books, and spending time with his cats, Arby and Nobu.
