Athena W.
Athena is a soprano, songwriter, and music technologist who prides in the importance ofi nterdisciplinary practice and performance. She grew up in the theater performing at a very young age, then later studying classical music with Lorraine Nubar at the Juilliard school’s college preparatory program (2019). She is a graduate of the Oberlin conservatory of music (2024) as a Vocal Performance major and Interdisciplinary performance minor, where she studied with soprano Katherine Jolly and TIMARA director Tom Lopez.
Athena’s focus of study is under classical, pop, and musical theater voice , songwriting and music production, and electronic/ electroacoustic composition. Her most recent performances were Albert Herring as Miss Wordsworth by Benjamin Britten and Montiverdi’s L’orfeo both at Oberlin.
In teaching, Athena personalizes each lesson plan for her student and their specific wants and needs from study. And most importantly, to have fun and learn all of the wonderful things music has to offer!
