Athena W.

Athena is a soprano, songwriter, pianist, and music technologist who prides in the importance of interdisciplinary practice and performance. She grew up in the theater performing at a very young age, then at 15 studied classical music at the Juilliard school’s college preparatory program until 2019 with a major in Vocal Performance studying under Lorraine Nubar. She is a graduate of the Oberlin conservatory of music (2024) as a Vocal Performance major and Interdisciplinary performance minor, where she studied with soprano Dr. Katherine Jolly and TIMARA director Tom Lopez. She also has 7+ years study in piano and studied with Anthony Weinstein at Oberlin conservatory in the classical repertoire. Her most recent performances were in Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten as Miss Wordsworth and Montiverdi’s L’orfeo both at Oberlin’s mainstage Opera productions.
Athena teaches classical, pop, and musical theater voice. Songwriting and music production. And pop/musical theater, and classical piano for beginners to intermediates.
In teaching, Athena personalizes each lesson plan for her students and their specific desires and goals. And most importantly, to have fun and express through beautiful music!
