Elene O.
Elene is a pianist, harpsichordist, fortepianist, and historical performance scholar from Tbilisi, the country of Georgia. Ms. Tabagari started studying piano at the age of 7, as a recipient of the Mayor’s “scholarship for the talented youth of Tbilisi” for the next 11 years. She continued her studies with Dr. Sean Kennard at Stetson University, where she won multiple competitions, including the university’s annual concerto competition, and was awarded best Junior Recital by the faculty.
She recently received a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School in New York City, and has joined the community of keyboard players and educators of the tri-state area. Elene has taught piano to students of Stetson University’s Community School of Music, as well as instructed private students of all ages and levels, including virtual lectures and tutoring sessions in music theory, ear-training, and sight-singing for the last 6 years in both English and Georgian languages.
She has a passion for teaching as well as having an active and exciting performing career. Elene advocates for proper technique and avoiding piano-related injuries, historical performance practice, diverse methodologies, and improvisation. She believes in promoting the importance of chamber music and supportive musical communities.
