Tia has been training and performing in the arts both as a pianist and a vocalist since she was a child. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, she became a public school teacher for inner-city and under performing schools.  Upon returning to NYC, she transitioned into the corporate sector as a global project manager before becoming a small business owner.

She brings her extensive classroom experience and her enhanced learning techniques, developed while attaining a Master of Science degree, to her student's music lessons, and tailors the lessons to the personality and the needs of beginning and intermediate piano and vocal students, ensuring foundational technique is developed while encouraging the joy of learning. She has a warm and eclectic personality, which has made her one of our most requested instructors by students and parents alike.
