Ms. Shaftel is a violin, voice, and beginner piano instructor. With a Master's degree in Music Education and over 10+ years of experience, Ms. Shaftel prides herself on her student-centered and collaborative approach to teaching. Examples include helping an 11th-grade voice student who had just joined choir for the first time to put on her own senior recital, supporting a 4th-grade student in her quest to write an entire album of songs, and teaching an adult student with no music background to surprise her husband by learning a few songs to play with his band. Ms. Shaftel loves working with students of all ages to build confidence, well-rounded musical skills, achieve their goals, and most of all, develop a deep appreciation and enjoyment of music of all kinds.
